8 Customer Relationship Secrets

Get Them to Buy More..

Written by Dr. Bette Daoust of MasterBizbuilders.com

Keeping the customers you have and getting them to buy more is the real secret to success. The important thing to remember is that not all customers will buy every time you connect with them. However, there are 7 things you can do to make sure they buy from you:

1. Keeping in constant touch will keep you top of mind when it comes time to buy again.

2. Make sure what you are offering is of interest to your audience. Know what they bought in the past so you will have an idea of what they will buy in the future.

3. Don’t restrict your communication to a sales message.

4.. Offer something of value for FREE with no strings attached (they will usually buy once they are in the door).

5. Phone your customers after they make a purchase. Ask if the product they purchased is doing the job right.

6. Take surveys of what your customers want and then give it to them.

7. Collect emails, phone, fax and address information for all your customers. You can use more than one mode of communicating.

8. FOLLOW-UP, FOLLOW-UP, FOLLOW-UP.

Niche Marketing

Using niche marketing as a strategy for your business is very well explained by Cliff Posey Jr. in his article at http://www.articlecity.com/articles/marketing/article_3919.shtml

Linda Finstad a Commercial Photographer is specializing in Equine Photography, she has been really focused on doing local horse shows this summer. Pretty much every weekend she goes out and takes about 1,000 pictures per show, edits them and posts them on her site and people can go to her website www.imagineitsold.ca  and order the pictures they want. Just by having a niche, Linda is now being invited by some of the big show names to be their photographer for their shows.

It pays to niche, it pays to get your name out to your audience. Since she has taken the “Attracting Your Ideal Client” workshop Linda has been really focused.

DoshDosh.com, is an online blog dedicated to helping you to make money online. I subscribe to her blog, there is so much to learn. Being this is her niche, she has lots of subscribers, it is obvious she does lots of research and teaches you what she also uses herself.

Here’s one more example of a niche, there are lots of niche companies and services, the key is to pick one and run with it. CharityVillage.com is one of my favorites. I remember when I knew Maggie when I lived in Vancouver. Between Maggie, Doug and their team, they have created this awesome site. Their niche is providing tools, resources all related to the nonprofit sector in Canada. (they do a a few links to the US as well).

Until next time,

Winning Together

July 12, 2007

Yesterday one of my clients and I were having a conversation about that we all need to work together. It is so important, I would say this is important even if you are a bigger business, as it is the only way that we all win.

I win by helping you. Some people would rather win by themselves, swipe other peoples ideas without asking permission or not simply giving the courtesy to people to ask permission “Could I use your article,” “I want to start using quotes, would you like to work with me?”

I had an experience like that once, I couldn’t figure out why all of a sudden, why an associate of mine wasn’t returning my calls about a project that we were thinking of doing together. Then one day, I found out he was doing our project with someone else. What is with people? I am hearing that this is more and more often. My answer is NEXT! They don’t deserve my friendship or a reply.

You know the saying, “Treat people how you would like to be treated?” If people aren’t going to treat you well, what are you going to do? Write them a letter, scream at them? or? The best thing is don’t do business with them. I will just let the Universe look after them. It will treat them how they treat other people. Gotcha!

Back to winning – if you want to win let me refer you to some great services. One of the things is to have on your team are Graphic Designers and Copy Writers. A Copy writer is worth their weight in Gold. All it takes is a couple of letters or promotional pieces or press releases to get the ball rolling.

Let me introduce you to Patricia Ogilvie, a Copy Writer and Marketing Consultant. She can Double Your Response Rates which builds Customer Relations. You can reach Patricia at www.salesletter.ca

Patricia and I are also facilitating the Ideal Client workshops together. She is a wonderful gal, she certainly can clarify your message for you.

Christina Dennis, is a Design & Production Coordinator for the Coffee News, she also can create a new design for you. Christina@coffeenewsedmonton.ca

Oh, if you really would like to have a great person working with you in the areas of Video production & Multi-media give Tim a shout. www.ProVision-Graphics.com. Tim and I have worked on a few projects together.

There are so many people who I think are the greatest…perhaps you’ll be next.

See you soon,

Happiness & Success
